New life classes are starting soon, and with that, the mentor program is also preparing to walk alongside candidates.
Many of us who have walked this journey know the challenges that can come once the decision to be baptized has been made. Even more so when we feel alone in it, and that is why the mentor program exists.
The mentor program seeks to connect each candidate with a mentor for them specifically, to walk with them on their journey as they prepare their hearts for baptism. Mentors are not there to fix problems or tell them what to do; rather, they are there to serve as a listening ear, caring heart, and open presence. A physical reminder that you are not alone.
